WHEN YOU ARE BLESSED

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER 2017 THEME: WHEN YOU ARE BLESSED MEMORIZE: By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. Hebrews 11:20 READ: Genesis 27:20-29 20 And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the Lord thy God brought it to me. 21 And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not. 22 And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau. 23 And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands: so he blessed him. 24 And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am. 25 And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine and he drank. 26 And ...

YOU CAN AVOID WASTAGE

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL  SATURDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER 2017 THEME: YOU CAN AVOID WASTAGE     MEMORISE:: For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, And in a multitude of counselors there is safety. Proverbs 24:6 READ: Luke 15:11-16 11 And he said, A certain man had two sons: 12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. 13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. 14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. 15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. BEWARE

ASK THOSE WHO SAW THE REVIVAL OF 1930s,1970s AND 1980s, THEY WILL TELL YOU WHY WE ARE CRYING O VER THIS "FIRE LESS NESS" WE ARE SEEING IN OUR GENERATION OF BELIEVERS. John Knox prayed: "Lord, Give me Scotland or I die"... St Patrick, a rugged believer that Brought even dead animals and trees back to life prayed: "God, Give me souls or give me nothing else".... Brethren during the Hebrides revival prayed:" Lord, If you will not use us, please, kill us"... The brethren from England who brought the Fire from Azusa Street revival gathered everyday under the terrible cold. Their only prayer topic was: "Lord, give us men that will spread Your Fire in the streets of England". During the Indonesia Revival, those hungry hearts were seen praying day and night: "Lord, The harvest is ripe... If it pleases You, please use us". One prayer that was common during the days of William Seymour was: "Lord, this is another day that...

DROPS

Recently, when I was going to bed after using my bathroom, I started hearing sound of drops of water from the tap in slow successions, but since it was dropping into an empty bucket, I decided to let it be. But, alas! When I woke up the next morning, around 5am, the bucket was almost full! I was surprised that just drops even in such slow successions could produce that much. I couldn't help it, 'Just drops?!' I questioned rhetorically. But the following night, I made sure that the tap in my bathroom was locked completely and I checked the bucket and saw that it was empty, though wet. Then I went to sleep. I guess you already know what I saw the next morning. The bucket was not wet as I had left it, but it was now dry! Then I realized the importance of a drop and how much difference it can make in all ramifications of one's life compared to a dry tap. Imagine letting the drops be for a year, I would be scooping with drums at the end of the year! So, how about...

A DIVINE CURSE

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER 2017 THEME: A DIVINE CURSE   MEMORISE: Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.  Malachi 3:9 READ: Mark 11:12-14; 20-21 12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: 13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. 14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. 20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Chronicles 33-34, Ezekiel 40:48-41:11 MESSAGE: When you go through the Scriptures and see the effect of a divine curse on those who were cursed, you would do...

HE DESERVES YOUR

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: THURSDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER 2017 THEME: HE DESERVES YOUR THANKS   Memorise: O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm136:2 Read: Psalm121:3-5 121:3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 121:4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 121:5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. Message: It is very important for you to give God thanks always. One reason why this is necessary is because there are several battles God fights for you that you know nothing about. Some people are so conservative when it comes to giving God thanks. They think they are clever, and so they only give God thanks when they believe He has earned it. In other words, they only thank God when He has done something very “tangible” for them. If however it appears that He has not done anything for them, they hold back on offering thanks to Hi...

And the child Samuel grew before the LORD. 1 Samuel 2:21 Read: 1 Samuel 1:9-18 1:9 So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk.
